Our overseeding process involves multiple steps to ensure your seeds grow successfully so that you end up with a beautiful and lush lawn. More than just sprinkling seeds, our overseeding service focuses on the health of your lawn and promotes the quick growth of your new seeds. Our overseeding process includes:
Dethatching - If your lawn is full of grass-smothering thatch, we'll dethatch your lawn to help your new seeds reach down into the soil where they will germinate and begin to grow.
Overseeding - We will then distribute grass seeds across your lawn, ensuring that they are spread out evenly.
Fertilization - We apply a fertilizer to help give your new grass the nutrients it needs to get busy growing.
Adjusting irrigation - Your new grass seeds need more water to germinate and grow properly. We will adjust your irrigation system to supply the proper amount of water.
Once your new seeds are established, we'll visit your property again to readjust your irrigation system back to normal levels.
When is our overseeding service available?
We offer our overseeding service in October when the ground is still warm enough for proper seed germination and temperatures are cool enough for the excellent growth of our cool-season ryegrass. Your new seeds will then have sufficient time to establish before winter.
